Games sure are pretty these days. Now, graphics aren’t everything, obviously, but it’s still very impressive when a game just looks fantastic. One such game is Everspace 2, which is a follow-up to the original game which came out in 2017. That means it’ll still have the same great fast-paced combat, exploration, loot, and RPG stuff that you’d expect. It’ll also be continuing the story of the world too, which means you might want to play the original game first. If you’ve not played it though, it’s probably not the end of the world.
Everspace 2 enters Early Access in January next year, which still sounds really far away, but is actually next month because time is a lie. It’ll bring a plethora of upgrades to the already popular formula, and it sounds like it’ll be an absolute blast for people who like playing space-faring games. It’ll likely be hard too, which is nice for those who want to suffer instead of having fun. So, people like me, but ones who like space stuff and aerial combat.
Above all else though, it’s just a really pretty game to look at. I’m sure it’ll be fun to play too, but that’s not what caught me eye. Instead, I’m here for the visual sheen that it has, and I’m always impressed by how good game developers can make space look. It makes it all the more inviting to play, and it could be the perfect game to get lost in in the new year. Hooray.
