Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Is GOTY 2022

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk isn’t coming out until next year, and that makes me kind of sad, but it still looks like the ideal spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio, and I think we can all agree that means that it’s going to be the game of the year 2022. Now, that might seem premature to you, but that’ll only be the case if you’ve not heard anything about it, so I’m confident that what you need to do now is finish reading this, go and watch all of the trailers, and then just hibernate until next year.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is a game all about graffiti, dancing, and avoiding the cops. Rather than skating, you basically parkour around the world doing slides, grinding on rails, hanging onto higher rails, and just generally looking incredibly fancy. All of that is wrapped in a stunning aesthetic that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and young inside, and I can’t think of anything I want more than that feeling. Well, other than someone just giving me a big old house or something.

One of the main reasons that I have faith in this game, other than everything I’ve talked about so far, is that it’s being made by Team Reptile, who also did Lethal League Blaze, which is an absolutely incredible take on the fighting game genre that you should also check out. There you go, sure, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is still a ways off, but you can always check out Lethal League Blaze in the meantime.
