Solve the tile-based puzzles of the adorable Harmony’s Odyssey
Harmony’s Odyssey is a wholesome 3D puzzle game that’s permeated by a sense of serenity and cosiness, an atmosphere you can see all over its pastel environments, colourful residents, and Disney-esque characters. It’s where gentle monsters and adorable critters live side by side in villages and across remote fabled lands, and where you’ll navigate through the diorama-like towns as a young witch, solving tile-based puzzles that resemble putting together jigsaw pieces.
Like most first-world problems in life, the town’s mishaps all begin with the antics of a mischievous cat. It seems that your cat, like our real-life feline friends, prefer to mess around with your magic wand, rather than the balls of yarn and cardboard boxes it was most definitely given to play with. While embarking on your journey to fix this magical mess, you’ll run into mythical creatures the likes of cyclopses who are too fixated with their phones, minotaurs suffering from road rage as they drive to work and partake in the drudgery of corporate life, and mermaids lounging about in their suburban garden swimming pools.
Then there are the various homes and spaces you can explore too; judging from its trailers, the game’s blockish dioramas look like a joy to ruminate over, as you flip and realign individual tiles to fix jumbled up spaces, and sooth the frazzled nerves of fellow residents who have found themselves floating mid-air.
There’s no release date for Harmony’s Odyssey yet other than a 2021 release, but as part of the Steam Next Festival, you can download a free demo on Steam.
