Now Is An Excellent Time To Get Into Wasteland 3

Wasteland 3 is one of those games that not enough people have played. The series as a whole has always been fun, but Wasteland 3 feels like it’s as close to perfect as can be managed, and it’s the kind of game that allows players to earn their own tales to tell, because the world is so interactive, and there are so many options, so you’ll always find your own way of doing things, for better or for worse.

Well, if you’ve not played it, you can actually do so by simply getting Game Pass, because Game Pass is ridiculous and a proper indie haven at this point. Anyway, the whole point of talking about this peculiar RPG is that we’re only a couple of weeks away from the final bit of DLC releasing, and that means this is a pretty good opportunity to try and jump into the game, whether by yourself or with a friend. Ideally, do it with a friend, because you’ll both end up causing more chaos that way.

Wasteland 3: Cult of the Holy Detonation grants players the chance to investigate the Cheyenne Mountain military complex, where cults worship an ancient deity they know as The Holy Detonation. To those of us who aren’t drinking from this particular brand of Kool-Aid, this detonation is a nuclear explosion held in stasis by some unknown power. There’s enough energy within this to either power Colorado springs forever, or doom the whole thing to a nuclear apocalypse. Honestly, it all sounds great, so if you’ve been waiting for an excuse to jump in, we recommend you do so now, so you can be ready for this DLC when it releases on October 5th.
