An ASCII RPG in 2017? Yup!
A futuristic take on the addictive, often maddening roguelike genre. Cogmind has been in development since 2015, and is available to buy on Steam early access.
The developer, Grid Sage Games, reassures gamers about the content available in the early access build:
Dozens of procedural map types, many embedded with hand-made areas and dozens of robot classes, each with unique behaviour in the ecosystem.
Well, who wouldn’t want to be a stealthy, sword wielding assassin robot?
Though a little on the steep side for a rogue-like game at £15.49, Cogmind has opened to very positive reviews on Steam.
