Alongside a free update coming soon!
Hello Games, developers behind the controversial No Mans Sky have announced that the game will be coming to Xbox One this year! Alongside this announcement, they also revealed that a new free update coming to the game called “No Mans Sky Next”, which is deep in development and will launch on all of the existing platforms including the Xbox One version when it arrives later this year. In the last 18 months, Hello Games and No Man’s Sky’s community of avid followers have continued to build out the game through three major updates (Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises) and dozens of smaller patches. In addition to the announcements, Founder of Hello Games, Sean Murray, also had this to say about No Mans Sky’s future and about the coming update.
“We are calling this No Man’s Sky NEXT because it is an important next step in a journey for No Man’s Sky, for Hello Games and for our devoted community. Each update for No Man’s Sky has been more successful than the last; this was especially true of our last update Atlas Rises. It emboldens the team to push ourselves further. This journey is far from over, and it’s exciting to be working again on something you know will surprise people.”
The Xbox One version of the game will include all of the current updates in addition to the “Next” update coming later in the year. 505 Games will also be distributing the game physically worldwide for the console. Unfortunately no pricing for the Xbox One version has been announced but hopefully we will get an update regarding that shortly.
