ROCKFISH’s Roguelike 3D shooter found its way into Sony’s console.
After being released in 2017 for PC and Xbox One, roguelike 3D space shooter Everspace has been released today for Playstation 4. Hamburg based indie studio ROCKFISH Games aims to expand its over half a million users player base now that their title reached Sony’s console.
“We are incredibly proud of releasing our very first title for PlayStation, and we couldn’t be more excited that space game enthusiasts on PS4 can now join the ranks of over half a million space pilots already exploring the vastness of EVERSPACE on PC and Xbox”, said Michael Schade, CEO of ROCKFISH Games. “Now PS4 players can experience the unique blend of roguelike game mechanics, exploration, storytelling, and fast-paced combat all set within a beautiful procedurally-generated fantasy sci-fi environment, too. And on PS4 Pro, they can even enjoy it in 4K or with improved visuals and at a higher framerate in Full HD”, he added
Everspace is a 3D single player space shooter with roguelike elements, amazingly crafted graphics and a dynamic story fitted to adapt itself to this genre. Players will embark in an epic space adventure in order to discover the hero’s backstory and the mystery of its existance. The game features two distinct difficulty levels, design to satisfy players going in for the story and those looking for a true hardcore challenge.
The game takes place in six different sectors, each of them being procedurally generated for a unique experience, each of them consisting of dozens of different levels. The Encounters expansion adds around 10 hours of additional gameplay and five new questlines, as well as a new player ship – a medium fighter class ship packed with sophisticated electronic weaponry, the Colonial Sentinel, bringing the total to four.
Everspace is available now on Playstation 4 for $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. The featured bundle includes the base game, the Encounters add-on, the EVERSPACE™ soundtrack with over 60 tracks, and the dynamic EVERSPACE™ Menu Theme. The base game ($29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99) and the add-on ($9.99 / €9.99 / £7.99) will be released also separately at the SONY PlayStation® Store on May 22, 2018.
