Circle Empires out now on Steam

RTS and dungeon crawling genres meet in this new game by indie studio Luminous.

Estonian based indie developers at Luminous and publishers at Iceberg Interactive announced today the full release of their RTS, dungeon-crawling new game called Circle Empires for PC through the Steam platform. During its beta phase, Circle Empires was downloaded by more than 150.000 users.

“We worked on the Circle Empires demo for many years and we’re pleased to now have a final product in our hands. Folks who played the demo can expect a greatly improved experience with a lot more content. Love from thousands of Youtubers during the development (who only played the demo, without having the faintest idea Luminous was making it into a full-sized RTS) actively inspired us to stay focused on bringing the game to a new level of experience.”, said during June’s PR campaign Mihkel Trei, lead developer at Luminous.

Circle Empires is a mix of genres including mainly RTS and a sort of dungeon crawiling, and puts players in command of a blooming civilization in a circle-based isometric map hiding loot, monsters and new challenges with each new step towards undiscovered areas. Each new area is formed by circle-shaped tiles with tougher enemies and better valued items and resources as users venture forth. Players will start their journeys on Mountaintopia, the fantasy world of Circle Empires.
