The Epic Game store secures Journey on PC

Walk through the wasteland on PC.

Just last week Epic Games announced the arrival of their new storefront Epic Games Store, and already they’ve nabbed the previously PS4 exclusive Journey. Journey has joined a whole host of titles that are currently listed as ‘coming soon’ on the sites homepage, including titles such as Subnautica, Darksiders III and Outer Wilds.

Journey was originally released way back in 2012 exclusively to PS3, and although it has since been ported to the PS4, the game has yet to make it onto stores such as Steam, or to the PC in general. Journey has made its mark on indie games, becoming hugely influential for its beautiful graphics and emotional narrative.

In the game, players take on the role of the nameless, cloaked figure of the traveller. The goal is a simple one, make your way through the desolate desert terrain to the mountaintop, but as is so often the case, it’s what you discover on the way that makes this game so special.

So far the Epic Games Store have not specified when this jaunt through the desert will be released, so we suggest keeping an eye on their storefront.
