Along with a host of other features in the 1.3 update.
Developer, ConcernedApe recently announced that the Nintendo Switch version of Stardew Valley will be getting a huge update this week including the addition of multiplayer. Set to release tomorrow, 12 December, the update also brings new single-player content with it including the Night Market Festival as well as the aforementioned four-player co-op.
The update will be available across North American, European, and Japanese Nintendo eShop regions and is planned to release on Xbox One and PS4 at a later date. You’ll be able to invite one to four players to join your farm from a single player save or starting from scratch in trying to achieve your farming dreams.
Players can farm, mine, fight, fish and even get married in their bid to build their dream farm together as they take in the idyllic setting and attend festivals together. This update also adds the ability for your horses to wear hats. Yes, you read that right, horses will soon be able to wear sombreros.
The Switch Multiplayer update for Stardew Valley is scheduled for release 12 December 2018. To find out more check out ConcernedApe’s blog on the update.
