Monster Prom update features YouTube star

The latest update welcomes a new character to Spooky High.

Supernatural dating sim Monster Prom released its winter update today. Entitled The Gift Update, developers Beautiful Glitch are giving players some festive new additions to the game as well as adding a new character. You might recognize the voice behind the new character, called Mr. Pheel the Eel, as none other than Irish YouTube sensation Jacksepticeye.

As well as adding a new NPC to the game, The Gift Update also contains lots of festive and seasonal delights. The main features include:

  • New winter clothing for all characters
  • “The Gift that keeps on giving” – a gift package which contains 13 different items which can be used in-game. Ranging from a lump of coal to a winning lottery ticket, who knows what you are going to get!

As well as some great new content in-game, the developers are also giving fans a 20% discount on Steam and GOG.

Monster Prom is set in a high school where it’s almost prom time. Did you ever have that awkward couple of weeks when you needed to ask your special someone to go to the prom with you but you were too shy or they were being hard to get? Well, imagine if you were a werewolf or a ghost? That’s got to be even harder! Your aim is to woo and seduce them into saying “yes”. Play solo against the computer or play against your friends in couch multiplayer mode. All you have to do is get your date!

Released in April of this year, Monster Prom developers have continually provided players with seasonal updates. In Summer they released a hot update, again giving players seasonal fashion and Steam collectables. The Autumn/Fall update primarily focussed on Halloween with some spooky outfits. Who knows what the Spring update will bring. Fluffy lamb outfits, maybe? Well, you will just have to keep checking the Steam store page at the beginning of next year!
