Holy Potatoes! We’re in Space?! is coming to PS4 and Nintendo Switch

The Spuds are coming to consoles next week

Today, publisher Rising Star Games and developer Daylight Studios revealed the dates for the Holy Potatoes! We’re in Space?! PS4 and Nintendo Switch releases. PS4 players will be able to get there hands on it on January 15th while Nintendo Switch players will have to wait a couple more days, until January 17th, to get their copy. The game was initially released on PC back in 2017 so it has taken quite some time for the game to reach consoles but we are sure that the wait has been for the greater good.

The game itself is a management simulator where you get to manage, own and develop your own spacecraft. It follows in the footsteps of the first Holy Potatoes! game, Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! and uses the same vegetable-themed characters that the series is now known for. In this game, you must micro-manage your crew to the smallest detail and, in doing so, create the best spaceship you can. You play as sister spuds Cassie and Faye as they are travelling across the universe to find their grandfather Jiji. You will come up against deadly enemies who will stop at nothing to disrupt your mission.

Other game features included are:

  • A turn-based combat system which allows you choose what happens to your opponent
  • There is a casual mode which will handle the combat for you if you want to have a more stress-free experience
  • A soundtrack comprising of over 150 tracks by film and game composer Jeff “Pumodi” Brice.

If you haven’t tried Holy Potatoes! We’re in Space?! yet and have a PC, it is currently on sale on Steam with 67% off the original price. When the sale is over, it will go back up to the same price at the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions which is $14.99/€14.99/£12.99.
