Stylish adventure Rainswept gets release date

And a new teaser trailer to boot.

Rainswept, the murder-mystery adventure game from developers Frostwood Interactive, has got itself a release date and a swanky new teaser trailer. The stylish narrative will be gracing PCs and MACs on February 1st.

In this title, players are cast as Detective Michael Stone. He’s come to the small town of Pineview (its all getting a bit Twin Peaks in here) to assist what seems to be a fairly simple case; a couple have been found dead in their kitchen, and the locals believe it to be just your average murder suicide. It doesn’t help that the couple were known for having a bit of a stormy relationship.

Taking the reins as the Detective and his colleague Officer Blunt, you must solve this strange case, all while trying to keep your protagonist from delving too far into his own past. Rainswept aims to deal with these themes of love, relationships and unresolved trauma, all while painted in an intriguing and captivating art style.

According to Steam, some key features of the game include:

  • An emotional story set in an immersive and atmospheric game world
  • Characters with deep histories, meaningful motivations and distinct personalities
  • A moving original soundtrack by Micamic (The Cat Lady)
  • Pine trees, coffee and rain. Lots of rain.

Rainswept will available from February 1st on Steam
