The Longest Road On Earth Reaches Kickstarter Goal
The Spanish team kicks things into action.

The Longest Road on Earth reached its Kickstarter target today – surpassing its goal of £8532 with a neat £9234. Anticipation for this unique little game seems to be increasing in intensity, as the goal was only at 50% on December 25th. A great late Christmas gift for the developers, who have already laid out their plans and committed to releasing in December 2020.
The gameplay focuses on a microcosm of everyday interactions, touching and experimenting with your surroundings to replicate seemingly innocent movements. With its neutral colour palette and rich tapestry of pixel art characters, The Longest Road on Earth looks set to be a simple, warming experience. Something to soothe the soul come next winter.

Snippets of the soundtrack have also been released. The Longest Road on Earth relies on atmosphere and context to tell a very delicate story. Shaping up to be a charmingly artsy experience, this game’s personal style offers fragile outlines of pixel elements. This, in turn, provides just enough detail for the player to sculpt their own world as they go along. You are encouraged to be creative, thoughtful, and reflective – maybe something to help us unwind at the end of this year.

You can keep up with the team by following their Twitter, or listening to their developing OST on Bandcamp.
