Someday You’ll Return Is Fatherhood But Scarier

Baby come back

Being a parent is hard. Not only do you have to constantly look after a tiny little version of yourself, but you also have to clean up after them, help them figure out how to walk, talk, eat, and even pet cats. Plus, on top of all of that, you have to do while exhausted out of your mind. Imagine, if you will, being a bartender with just one customer, but the customer is constantly drunk, and nothing you can do will help them sober up. Also, you have to change their bum. That’s basically parenthood.

There are also these weird moments where your kid will do something so terrifying that you start to understand why they star in so many horror films. Have you ever seen your child looking into the camera in a baby monitor? It’ll stop you sleeping ever again. That’s assuming the kid lets you sleep in the first place. You just have to pray that your kid is cute enough to make it worth it.

Someday You’ll Return, taps into the primal fear of children that many of us have. Except that here you need to find your daughter, who has gone and got herself lost in an incredibly creepy forest. Ah, what a wonderful time to be a parent. You’ve actually been here before too, but swore you’d never come back. Honestly, this kid sounds like a lot of trouble, but hopefully, the fact that it’s a horror game doesn’t mean anything will happen to her. We’ll get to find out the whole story when Someday You’ll Return releases on April 14th.
