Teardown Could Be The Perfect Heist Game

I’m a huge fan of being able to simply destroy whatever’s in my way. It’s something that cropped up a little in the early parts of this century, but kind of died off a bit aside from key games like Minecraft or Terraria. The thing that those games don’t do that I really miss though, is the that everything but simulated properly. The ability to destroy the lower half of a building and then watch the whole thing fall over is something that can’t be rivalled.

Well, thankfully for me, and hopefully for you too, Teardown is coming out on October 29th, and I’m hoping it’ll scratch this very specific itch for me. Teardown is a game where you have to plan a heist. You can either choose to think about things carefully or just brute force your way through the problems. I like the idea of hunting down different targets and trying to make sure everything goes off without a hitch, especially as it’ll probably never work out like that. Instead, I expect my experience with the game to be something along the lines of trying to be sneaky but accidentally dropping the building on myself and starting again.

If that all sounds like the ideal time to you, you’ll be happy to know that not only is there a campaign to play through, but you can also mess around in a Sandbox mode or even create your own levels too. I’d be shocked if this game doesn’t take over the world a little bit.
