Pirate MMO Atlas gets extended gameplay trailer

Set sail.

It’s an MMO that’s already been hit by some unfavourable winds, having been delayed for early access release twice, but Atlas the pirate multiplayer from ARK: Survival Evolved developers is still sailing towards launch. Atlas will be coming to Steam this Friday, on December 21st.

Developers of Atlas plan for the game to host up to 40,000 players who will explore the same world simultaneously. With this many people all in one ramshackle world, anything could happen. Expect conflict, weird encounters, buried treasure and plenty of fortresses to siege. Players can also get their own back on wealthy merchants by plundering their wares and recruiting their own crew to join you in your quest for glory.

That’s not all you can do in this perilous world. Players can form their own company, claim territory and apply their own taxation rules to what they own. You can choose to either be a benevolent governor, a feudal lord, or a ruthless dictator. See just how much you now control via a zoomable World Map, with uncharted regions obscured.

Atlas will be released into early access for the PC on December 21st. To find out more about the game visit Atlas’ Steam page.
