Super Buckyball Tournament Is Rocket League With Punch

I, as you may well know, quite like Rocket League. I’ve been playing it a lot, like an hour a day practising just trying to get better. There’s something wonderful about just being better than you were in a game, and the competitive aspect of it, despite being filled with some toxicity, is wonderful. I’m now constantly on the lookout for other games to add into this particular niche, and it looks like the next one could well be Super Buckyball Tournament.

While the full game isn’t out until next year, there is currently a test of sorts going on that you can participate in until December 6th. This gives you and me, and well, everyone, a chance to jump in and try out a game which looks like Rocket League spliced with Overwatch. That’s pretty fitting, because it’s set in a world of robots and human beings spliced with animal DNA. you know, that kind of future.

The game itself has a few different modes, some of which just involve scoring goals, and others which are altogether more chaotic. I’m pretty excited about what it could become in the long-run, and I’m hoping that it gets popular enough that we all get to find out. I’m also kind of impressed that it’s coming from the people behind My Time At Portia. It’ll be interesting to see how the game feels when it launches fully, but no matter what happens, it does look cool, and looking cool is at least half the battle.
