It Turns Out Dead Cells Is About Friendship

Dead Cells has always been a great game. We really do mean always too. Ever since it originally released it’s been once incredible moment to another, and it’s almost absurd just how good it’s become after so many updates and DLCs. In fact, if you’ve not played it in a while, or you’ve not checked out the DLC, we’d thoroughly recommend picking them up and diving back in again just to experience all of the new content, because boy oh boy is there a lot of it.

One thing we didn’t realise though, is that it’s not actually about being a creepy cell inhabiting the fallen corpses that litter a dangerous land. Nope, Dead Cells is actually a game all about friendship. You see, the latest update, titled Everyone is Here, brings along a plethora of incredibly cool new skins, skills, and weapons from other indie studios. Think Smash Bros. but a little smaller and a little more wholesome, and you’re basically on the right track here. It’s an absolute tour-de-force of some of the incredible action games that have come out of the indie world in the last couple of years.

It’s really nice to see this kind of update coming out so long after the game itself. It also goes to show just how much support there is within some areas of indie gaming. In short, now is probably the best time ever to get into Dead Cells if you’ve never played it before, to just to dive back in if it’s been a while. If you’re still playing Dead Cells anyway, well then you’ve probably not got time to read things in the first place.
