Internal Light VR gets Steam release

Virtual reality action puzzle game releases on Steam.

Internal Light VR

Internal Light VR is a new virtual reality action puzzle game from Hot Dogs Studio, a small studio with only two developers tasked with working on this game. Internal Light’s gameplay involves interacting with your environment and solving puzzles with a pair of rather disturbing disembodied hands, all via an Oculus Rift headset and handheld controllers which track the movements of your body. The game includes vehicles, and incorporates motions such as jumping and squatting into the controls, and so requires plenty of space to play.

Early reviews have praised the movement mechanics, as well as the discomfiting segments such as avoiding searchlights while sneaking through an abandoned warehouse and navigating laser mazes, made all the more tense by the immersive virtual reality experience. For the present, Internal Light is only available for Oculus Rift and not HTC Vive, although pending further tests and bug fixes, Vive support is planned at some point in the future. You can buy it on Steam here.

If you are interested in VR then check out Primordian which we covered last week on Indie Game Website. With high-end virtual reality headsets surpassing one million sales for the first time ever in the final quarter of last year, according to TechCrunch, 2018 is shaping up to be a good year for VR gaming, and Internal Light is another sign that indie studios are keen to get in on the action.
